A practicing music-thanatologist since 1995, Tony has been a member of the Music Care Services team for the past eight years at Midwest CareCenter (formerly the Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of the North Shore), serving greater Chicago. Currently the MCS team includes 3 Board Certified Music Therapists and 2 MTAI Certified Music-thanatologists.
He and his colleague, Margaret Pasquesi, MA, CM-Th, are currently drafting a research article (along with Dr. Martha Twaddle) for publication that will relate the findings of their multi-year retrospective chart review, comparing vital signs before and after 1,700 music vigils for more than 1,000 patients.
Tony has served on the MTAI's Certification Task Force and as Chair of the Membership Committee. He is also the Web Maestro for the website that you are currently viewing.
